Welcome to our Carmel of the Holy Spirit

A community of contemplative women in the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane, we belong to the world-wide Discalced – Teresian – Carmelite Order. Called to follow Christ in intimate friendship and love, ours is a life of prayer at the service of the Church.

Bonded together by our common ideal we strive to embrace all people in our prayer, particularly the poor and suffering in every part of the world. We believe that the love we show to one another not only builds up the community, but has an influence far beyond the confines of our monastery.
